AL KAUSAR-Many programs made to increase student’s spirit. One of the programs is Student of the Month. This program is giving the students reward for who has read books the most. Mrs. Rachmawati as Head of library will give the chosen student a book as the present. The Student of the Month can ask Mrs. Rachmawati to buy their favorite book.
This program has started from 6 years ago. Mrs. Rachmawati made this program to promote reading to all Al Kausar students. This program is held as an appreciation from Mrs. Rachmawati for who borrow the book. Mrs. Rachmawati hope, trough this program, Al Kausar’s students want to borrow many books. But since Al Kausar’s library added more computers, student’s attraction is switch from read the book to use computer facility.
From many award in Al Kausar, Reader of the Month is the easiest award to get. Just borrow book from library as many as you can, then you can be the candidate of Student of the month. “There’s no test to be Student of the Month. Students just have to borrow the books from library as many as they can. In the end of the month I’ll announce the Student of the Month based on the record we have”, said Mrs. Rachmawati.
Usually there are two students of the month, one for senior high and one for junior high. Sometimes, Mrs. Rachmawati also gives the teacher present, but it’s not regularly. There’s different way for last year, Mrs. Rachmawati didn’t announce Student of the Month monthly. She accumulated 3months in 1 month. She gives the present in the end of the year. So, there are 3 Senior High School students and 3 Junior High School students. The last Student of the Month are Hafshah Widya Arini (X-1, SHS), Lulu Nur Afifah (X-1, SHS), Hanifa Aristia (X-1, SHS), Fitrahtulhay Pribadi (7C, JHS), Radia (7C, JHS), Hayyu Aliya P. (7C, JHS).
So, let’s go to the library, find more information, borrow the book, then you’ll become the Student of the Month. (Sals)
