Scabies Versus Tomcat

Sukabumi, West Java- Students of Insan Cendekia Alkausar Senior High School attacked by skin disease. The name of this illness is Scabies. The plague attacked since the second semester. This disease attack the boy’s dormitory. The most of students who were attacked by this disease were the boys. The Scabies was spread by louses that always live in the damp places, like a mattress, a towel, and a blanket. First symptom when scabies attack the skin is arising many small red bumps and the bump filled with some fluids, and then the skin was very itchy, don’t scratch the skin because the disease will be spread to another part of the skin.

The worst victim of scabies is Marcelino (15). “I really don’t like this disease. I am sad. It just can make me itch and I can’t concentration in my school,” he said. Besides Marcelino, there are many victims who most of them are tenth grader. The prediction are their body get no  immune to stand with a new neighbor and the students rarely dry their mattress, clothes, towel in the sun. The victims are treatment by Mr. Supri as the school’s doctor but a lot of them are doing treatment to Bakti Medicare.

New cases come to girl’s dormitory. On Thursday (22/3), Ifti Aisha found an insect on her friend’s towel. “I shouted my friends when I saw the insect. The color of the body is black and orange. I was scared of this.” She said. Then, one of her friend helped her to catch that insect and brought it to biology teacher. The biology teacher said that the name of insect is tomcat. She said that we must alert our self when we meet this insect. Tomcat makes your skin itchy, then place that itch feel tender and can make a tender. A few days after Ifti found the tomcat, BUP sprayed the field with pesticide.

On Monday (9/4), Mrs. Risdha, the biology teacher gave a counseling about tomcat and how to protect our body from the tomcat’s poison. “Besides flick your towel, clothes, or many things before use it, you also have to wash that. Tomcat leaf the poison when they are walking,” she said.
